In his post on his social media account, Zelenski said that he met with journalists in his office in Kyiv and answered questions about the agenda.
Zelensky recalled that the United States, Ukraine and Russia had previously held trilateral talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war, and noted that such negotiations should continue.
Zelensky said he expects there will be a tripartite meeting if Russia decides to ease tensions, and that this could take place in April, May or June.
Zelenskiy argued that the US will try to end these talks to resolve the crisis by the midterm elections, saying: “I think it will be very difficult for us until September. I think the Americans will not give anyone more time for this dialogue. This spring and summer period will not be easy politically and diplomatically. There may be pressure on Ukraine. There will also be pressure on the battlefield.” gave his assessment.
Zelenskiy stressed that they will continue their work while safeguarding Ukraine's national interests and security, saying: “It is important to put sufficient pressure on Russia in this process. For example, the allies can organize a NATO summit this year that is absolutely unprecedented, historic and groundbreaking and will in some way lead to victory.” he said.
“The number of Russian soldiers on Ukrainian territory is increasing”
Zelenskiy argued that the Russian army had suffered “huge” losses at the front: “At the same time, the number of (Russian army) groups on Ukrainian territory is also increasing. In other words, we believe that they have increased the size of their groups by withdrawing military personnel from strategic reserves.” shared his opinion.
Zelenskiy claimed that Russia had planned to fully capture the cities of Druykivka, Konstantinivka and the city of Pokrovsk in Ukraine's Donetsk region by the end of this month, but this was impossible.
“We destroyed Iranian UAVs in the Middle East”
Ukrainian President Zelensky recalled that they had recently reached some agreements with the Gulf states on the fight against the armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the “Shahad” type launched by Iran.
Zelenski explained that they sent Ukrainian experts and equipment to the Middle East: “We showed some countries how to use preemptive unmanned aerial vehicles. Did we destroy Iran's Shahads? Yes, we did. Did we destroy them in just one country? No, in several countries. And I think that's a success.” he said.
Zelensky explained that they have reached defense cooperation agreements with some countries in the region: “We have ten-year agreements with three countries. Ukrainian companies will work with the armies of these countries to protect a specific facility.” gave the information.
Zelenski said that they continue their negotiations with Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain and that in return for this cooperation they will receive prevention systems and energy resources to protect the Ukrainian energy sector.
