The official recalled claims that the US was preparing to expand the scope of air strikes against Iran in the coming days, claiming that this expansion faces “limitations” due to a lack of resources.
The official noted that U.S. air defense and long-range munitions stockpiles have declined, noting that there are limitations on the capacity to send more soldiers and aircraft to the region due to “war damage.”
“We do not have sufficient resources to safely continue operations, and I do not believe the White House is aware of this,” the official said. he said.
The Israeli press claimed that the US is preparing to expand the range of its air strikes on Iran in the coming days and has begun sending additional fighter jets and refueling aircraft to the Middle East.
Tensions between the USA and Iran
To end the war that began with US and Israeli attacks on Iran, Washington and Tehran signed the Islamabad Memorandum on June 14, which set a 60-day negotiation period for the final agreement.
However, the US Army launched new attacks against Iran on July 8, and Iran attacked US bases in neighboring countries in retaliation for these attacks.
