White House: Iran deal may take days to finalize

According to the US media, a White House official assessed the current situation in the agreement process between the US and Iran in his briefing to some press representatives.

The US official explained that the agreement in question is not expected to be signed today and that it could take days to finalize the agreement due to Iran's approval process.

With cautious optimism, the official said: “We are in a very good point now, but there is still a possibility that the agreement will fail.” gave his assessment.

Explaining that some details of the text of the agreement are still being negotiated, the official said: “Negotiations are still ongoing on some details. There are some statements that are important to us, and there are some statements that are important to them too.” he said.

The official noted that Iran's religious leader Mojtaba Khamenei has approved the general framework of the agreement but that it will soon be seen whether it will become a final agreement text, stressing that they are confident about the progress of the process.

NYT's claim of agreement on Strait of Hormuz reopening

On the other hand, the New York Times (NYT) newspaper, in its news, based on a US official, shared with its readers the claim that the US and Iran had reached an agreement on the “reopening of the Strait of Hormuz”.

The same message said that Iran had agreed with the US to dispose of enriched uranium, but the agreement had not yet been finalized.

– Trump's reaction to the news of the deal

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump made a statement on his social media account, stating that no one had yet seen the final text of the treaty and that the news made in this direction was not true.

“No one has seen our deal or knows what it is. It's not even fully negotiated yet. So don't listen to the underachievers who criticize something they know nothing about,” Trump said. He responded to criticism from some media with the following statements.

In his previous statement on the matter, US President Trump noted that the negotiation process with Iran is still ongoing and said: “The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner. I have told my representatives involved in the negotiations not to rush to reach an agreement because time is on our side.” He gave his assessment.

In his statement on Saturday, Trump said that he was negotiating a “large-scale” agreement with Iran that should be finalized now and that he hoped the agreement would be finalized in a short period of time.
