Minister Şimşek evaluated the World Bank's additional financing of 400 million euros for Türkiye's wind and storage investments in his NSosyal account.
Şimşek emphasized that a green transformation is a necessity for Türkiye:
“Over the last 23 years, our total energy imports have reached $1.1 trillion. By increasing the share of domestic and renewable resources in energy, we are reducing foreign dependence and directing our resources to areas that allow us to move up the value chain. With the long-term and favorable terms financing of 400 million euros provided by the World Bank, we are supporting investments in renewable energy and strengthening our resilience by accelerating the energy transition.”
