The US Secretary of State claimed that Iran produces about 100 missiles per month, but emphasized that only 6-7 anti-aircraft missiles can be produced per month, citing Iran's missile production systems.
Asked what he thought about regime change in Iran, Rubio said: “Even though we want to see a new regime there, the point is that no matter who runs the country in a year, they won't have these ballistic missiles that could threaten us.” he replied.
Responding to a question about Israel's attacks on a school in Iran, the US minister said they did not intentionally target civilians, but that Iran targeted civilians.
US-Israeli attacks and Iranian retaliation
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28, while negotiations between the governments of Tehran and Washington were still ongoing.
