US President Trump's reaction to Israel's attack on Lebanon

US President Trump criticized Israel for attacking Lebanon during the peace deal with Iran.

“The attack on Beirut this morning should not have happened, especially on this special day when we are so close to a peace agreement with Iran.” Trump said the attack should not disrupt this important process.

Trump said: “We are very close to an agreement that will bring peace to the region, including Lebanon, and all parties must take a step back. There should be no more attacks by Israel anywhere in Lebanon, but there should also be no more attacks on Israel by other parties, including Hezbollah. This could be the start of a long, beautiful peace. Let's not ruin it.” He made a statement.

Iran: Negotiations could be broken off if Israeli attacks continue

Iranian parliament speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf said: “Israel's attack on southern Beirut shows that the United States lacks either the will or the ability to fulfill its commitments.” He responded to the USA with his statement.

Stating that the game of “bad cop, good cop” is a thing of the past, Kalibaf said: “If you do not have the will and ability to fulfill your obligations, it is not possible to talk about continuing the (negotiation) process.” He warned that his words could bring the negotiation process to a standstill.
