The report states that Torkiye's annual natural gas production can achieve 17 billion cubic meters in 2050 with developments and new discoveries in the Sakarya gas field. This great increase was seen as a critical step for Torkiye to reduce energy imports and achieve its goal of energy independence.
Türkiye is not only for its own gas production, but also on the way to becoming an energy center. It is a critical transit center between pipelines and LNG facilities as well as Europe, the Middle East and Russia.
