The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE 2026-International Carpet and Flooring Expo), organized at the Istanbul Fair Center in cooperation with the Istanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHİB) and the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB), opened its doors at the Istanbul Fair Center.
Minister Bolat, in his speech at the opening of the fair, which brings together the leading manufacturers of the carpet industry from Turkey and the world and was attended by 500 companies, including 150 foreign ones, from 21 countries, explained that the event was held for the third time this year and that there were many participants from home and abroad.
Stating that they provide up to 70 percent support to the participants of this fair and will continue to support them, Bolat said: “As Turkey, we are among the leading countries in the world league, we are second in carpet production and exports. Many of our cities produce really famous and beautiful carpets. There is Isparta, Hereke, Bünyan (Kayseri), Manisa Demirci, but Gaziantep is a star city. Pointing to Türkiye's strength in textiles, carpets and ready-made clothing, Bolat said: “The textile and clothing sector closed 2025 with exports of around $31 billion. We will continue to support the textile and clothing sector, which is the apple of our industry's eye. Our carpet sector also closed with exports of almost $3 billion.” he said.

Trade Minister Bolat discussed the support provided to exporters and informed about the budget support provided by the Ministry of Commerce as well as the support offered by Türk Eximbank, İhracatı Gelişim AŞ (İGE) and Türk Ticaret Bankası.
Stating that they have increased monthly employment support in labor-intensive sectors such as textiles, leather, clothing, carpets, saddlery, shoes and furniture to 3,500 lira this year, Bolat said they will increase their activities in general trade delegations, trade fairs, prestigious domestic and international fairs and target markets to increase exports.
Bolat recalled that last month the monthly export record in the history of the Republic was broken with 26 billion 434 million dollars, emphasizing that the annual record was broken with a total of 273.4 billion dollars in goods exports.

Minister Bolat concluded his remarks by saying that revenues of more than $123 billion are expected from service exports in 2025:
“We have reached a total of 396.5 billion dollars. Turkey has now entered the league of countries with exports of around 400 billion dollars. After the opening speech, Minister Bolat cut the ribbon together with Deputy Minister of Trade Özgür Volkan Ağar, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, Turkish Exporters Assembly President Mustafa Gültepe, Southeast Anatolian Exporters Association Coordinator Ahmet Fikret Kileci and İHİB President Ahmet Hayri Diler, the opening volume of the fair.
Bolat then visited the stands in the exhibition center and talked to the participants and exchanged information.
