WASHINGTON (AA) – Turkish satellite technology companies Türksat, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) and ASELSAN presented their products and capabilities at the world's largest satellite trade fair, Satellite 2024, held in Washington, the US capital.
The Satellite 2024 trade fair, which will decide the future of the satellite industry, brought together the world's largest satellite manufacturers and satellite operators.
Türksat, TAI and ASELSAN represented Turkey at the trade fair, where the industry's key players met. Turkey's three largest companies showcased their products and capabilities at the trade fair, which ends tomorrow.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Enver İskurt said in his statement that it was an honor for Turkish companies such as Türksat, ASELSAN and TAI to participate in the world's most important satellite trade fair.
Emphasizing that Turkey attaches great importance to increasing localization rates in production in all sectors, İskurt said: “We will launch the Türksat 6A satellite in the near future, in June. The most important feature of this satellite is that it is entirely based on the satellite production of our domestic companies. said.
Explaining that Turkey is now showing its presence in space, İskurt said: “We are at a trade fair where the world's main satellite manufacturers participate together with the components of the entire sector. We are proud that these three companies are here on behalf of Turkey,” he said.
Drawing attention to the speed of developments in the satellite sector, İskurt stated that Turkey should also participate in space and that the country supports these companies in every way in terms of production. İskurt said: “Our future is very bright. There is nothing we cannot produce or do,” he said.

Hasan Hüseyin Ertok, General Manager of Türksat, also said that Satellite is the most important and largest trade fair in the world that brings together all participants in the satellite industry, and everyone is involved in this organization, from the satellite operator to the manufacturer, from the launch vehicle to the manufacturer of floor systems.
Stating that everyone in the industry can come together to expand their cooperation and discuss new business opportunities, Ertok emphasized that it is very important for Türksat and Turkey to participate in the fair.
Ertok said: “We all try to showcase the services and products we offer here. We try to present our product range that we have expanded in recent years and introduce both our country, the products we produce and our development in this field.” he said.
Explaining that Türksat has significantly improved its coverage areas with the Türksat 5A and Türksat 6A satellites put into operation in recent years, Ertok explained that it provides different services in different coverage areas and separate services for Internet and cellular systems.
Ertok explained that at the fair they presented the new technologies they are working on, especially in terms of providing Internet services in new areas, aviation and shipping.

Mustafa Yaman, deputy general manager of ASELSAN, said that ASELSAN participated in the exhibition as a company that produces both satellite equipment, satellite communications, ground terminals and user terminals.
Speaking about the great interest in their products at the exhibition, Yaman said: “We are exhibiting our products for both the space and ground sectors here,” said.

Tetik explained that they told the exhibition participants about the production facility where TAI's locally and nationally developed satellite platforms are manufactured, adding that they exhibited their products in the field of communications and earth observation satellites.
