According to the company, Turka designs its service model based on feedback from vehicle owners.
The company, which reached an agreement in its negotiations with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, announced that from August 15, 2027, it will not receive commissions on credit and debit card payments for the vehicle inspection services it undertakes for 20 years.
249 landline and 100 mobile stations will be set up
The company, which is preparing for a new era of vehicle inspection services with the establishment of 249 fixed and 100 mobile stations in 81 provinces in Turkey, aims to make the service in question fast, accessible and user-oriented.
On the other hand, Turka is preparing to launch a model station in Istanbul that will use artificial intelligence-based image processing systems, multi-point camera infrastructures and laser scanners to redesign the vehicle inspection system with digital technologies.
While new generation inspection technologies will be tested at the station, which will also serve as a research and development center, technical teams trained under the Turka Academy umbrella will have the opportunity to undertake application-oriented training.
“We have reached an agreement with most of the business partners that will establish a station.”
Turka Board Member Serhan Salman, whose views were taken into account in the statement, explained that in Türkiye, where there are more than 34 million vehicles on the road, about 16 million vehicle inspections are carried out annually through post-inspections.
Salman explained that their aim is to offer a powerful, fast and user-friendly vehicle inspection system supported by digital infrastructure:
“We are working on a service model that allows vehicle owners to easily complete their transactions and move safely in traffic. In this regard, we carefully evaluated the experience of past vehicle inspections and feedback from our citizens. One of the most frequently cited problems was the commission for card payments. In accordance with the agreement reached as a result of our negotiations with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was decided that during the period in which we provide services from August 15, no commission will be charged on payments made by credit card and debit card will be 2027.”
Stating that they have reached an agreement with most of the business partners that will establish stations throughout Turkey, Salman stated that their goal is not only to establish new stations but also to create an accessible vehicle inspection network that provides the same standard of service at every point of Türkiye, supported by digital infrastructure.
Mentioning that they are undertaking an intensive investment program, Salman said, “In addition to the 75 mobile stations in the specification, we are targeting to commission 100 mobile stations in the first phase,” gave his assessment.
