Projects that will make a difference in the tourism sector and be a starting point for new ideas compete in the Tourism Technologies Competition, one of the competitions that attracted a lot of attention this year.
In the Tourism Technology Competition, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, participants are expected to work towards promoting rich culture, tourism opportunities and activities through the use of intelligent, innovative information technologies.
TEKNOFEST will produce high-quality projects for the tourism sector
Within the framework of the Tourism Technology Competition, applicants are expected to prepare products that enable learning, promotion or awareness of the values represented by technology integration in the fields of tourism and culture, as well as the development of methods and methodologies used in these areas. While software-oriented projects such as mobile software, web software, prototypes, learning games and learning simulations are admitted to the competition, eight different topics will be presented.

High school students, universities, master's students and doctoral students studying in Turkey and abroad can take part in the competition. Applications are open until February 20, 2024.
In the tourism technology competition, where high school and university students are judged in two separate categories, the first prize at the high school level is 50,000 TL, the second prize is 40,000 TL and the third prize is 30,000 TL. In teams at university level and above, prize money of 60,000 TL awaits the winners, 50,000 TL for second places and 40,000 TL for third places.
