Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Coast Guard Education and Training Commander Rear Admiral Gürkan Erkel, Coast Guard Commander Lieutenant Colonel Tolga Coşkun, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Advisor Lokman Atasoy, Antalya İMEAK Shipping Chamber President Ahmet Çetin, as well as representatives of institutions and sectors attended the ceremony at the ANFAŞ Exhibition and Congress Center.
In his speech here, Governor Şahin stated that Antalya is a city that makes a significant contribution to the maritime industry.
Noting that the fair is growing and becoming stronger day by day, Şahin said:
“Antalya is one of the leading cities in Türkiye, no matter how you look at the maritime sector. We are a city with marinas, marinas and ports. We are the main center for all kinds of tourist activities, production and equipment related to water. We are also one of the main yacht production cities in Türkiye. When you say Antalya, you are talking about many things related to the sea. World trade largely revolves around the sea. That's why we actually talk about everything, what we talk about the sea the world.”
Stating that important projects are being implemented to further strengthen marine tourism in Antalya, Şahin pointed out that the “Antalya Blue Mediterranean Initiative” initiative they launched will occupy an important place on Antalya's agenda in the coming years.
Stating that they will show what Antalya and Türkiye have to say in the areas of climate change, environmental awareness and sustainability, especially within the framework of the COP31 concept, Şahin said: “Marine tourism is one of the most striking and important topics that we will highlight here. He believes that the Yacht Life Boat Show will make a significant contribution for us in this regard.” he said.
After the speeches, Governor Şahin and his entourage visited the fair and inspected the products and services on display.
The fair ends on April 12th.
