The US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement on the attacks against Iran through the social media platform account of the US-based Company X.
The statement reported that US forces attacked military targets across Iran, including Bushehr, Chabahar, Cask, Konarak, Abu Musa Island and Bandar Abbas, as part of the operation, which lasted about five hours, and the final wave of attacks was completed.
The statement noted that the strikes used precision munitions against Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) bases, and naval forces, and said that more than 50,000 U.S. troops were stationed across the Middle East.
