The US announced that it had seized another oil tanker in the Caribbean

The US Southern Field Command (SOUTHCOM) issued a statement on US-based Company X's social media platform.

“This morning, our joint interagency forces once again sent a clear message: 'There is no safe haven for criminals,'” the statement said.

It was reported that in the dawn operation, Marines operating from the USS Gerald R. Ford captured the oil tanker Olina in the Caribbean Sea without incident.

The statement noted that such seizures were also supported by joint U.S. Navy forces, the USS Iwo Jima, the USS San Antonio and the USS Fort Lauderdale, and that this would continue until security was restored in the Western Hemisphere.

In the video shared in the statement, it was seen that US soldiers raided the ship in question by landing a helicopter and searching the ship.

Last day, the US announced that it had stopped and seized two oil tankers, including the Russian-registered oil tanker Bella 1 in the North Atlantic and the other in the Caribbean.

With the oil tanker “Olina”, the USA has seized the fifth ship as part of sanctions against Venezuelan oil distribution.
