The letter from the Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Authority to banks said that the password-free transaction limit for contactless payments, which was increased to 1500 lira on July 1, 2024, was updated after 1.5 years.
It was reported that the transaction limit without a password will be 2,500 lira starting January 15.
In Europe the limit is usually 50 euros
