The real sector confidence index rose in June

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) announced the Economic Tendency Statistics and RKGE data for June.

Accordingly, the results of the Economic Tendency Survey were determined by weighting and aggregating responses from 1975 manufacturing jobs.

The seasonally adjusted RKGE increased by 1 point to 102 in June.

When examining the diffusion indices of the survey questions that make up the index, evaluations regarding production volume in the next three months, fixed capital expenditure, total order quantity in the last three months, current total order volume and the general trend influenced the index in an increasing direction, while evaluations regarding current finished goods inventory, total employment in the next three months and export order volume in the next three months influenced the index in a decreasing direction.

The non-seasonally adjusted RKGE increased by 0.2 points compared to the previous month and reached 103.5 in June.

The evaluations of the last three months showed that the trend in favor of those who reported an increase in production volume weakened compared to the previous month, the trend in favor of those who reported a decrease in domestic market order volume became stronger, and the trend in favor of those who reported an increase in export order volume became stronger.

It was observed that ratings that current total orders were below seasonal norms weakened compared to the previous month and the trend in favor of those indicating that current finished goods inventories were above seasonal norms strengthened compared to the previous month.

The PPI expectation fell to 31.5 percent

In the analyzes for the next three months, the trend in favor of those who expect an increase in production volume and domestic market order volume has strengthened compared to the previous month, while the trend in favor of those who expect an increase in export order volume has weakened.

On the other hand, upward expectations for employment in the next three months were observed to weaken compared to the previous month, while upward expectations for fixed capital expenditure in the next twelve months strengthened compared to the previous month.

The trend in favor of those who reported an increase in average unit costs in the last three months and those who expected an increase in the next three months and rising expectations for the selling price in the next three months weakened. At the end of the next twelve months, the annual PPI expectation fell by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month, reaching 31.5 percent.

It was observed that the trend weakened in favor of those who stated that they were more pessimistic about the general development of their industry compared to the previous month.
