To make its economy internationally competitive, Turkey provides supports such as tax deductions, insurance premium assistance, withholding tax assistance, stamp and customs tax exemption, and VAT exemption for machinery and equipment for research and development centers and design centers.
Last year, 75 new certificates were issued for research and development centers
The number of research, development and design centers growing with support is increasing every year. In this context, 75 new R&D center certificates were issued in Turkey last year, increasing the number of operating centers to 1292 by the end of the year. There are 80,838 employees working in these centers, including support staff.
58,000,893 projects have been completed in these research and development centers. While 12,000 7 patents of these centers are registered, 23,680 are in the registration phase. The number of foreign partner companies with R&D centers was recorded at 229.
The number of design centers reached 328
On the other hand, last year, 28 new design center certificates were issued in the country and the number of operating design centers reached 328.
The first design centers were established in Çanakkale and Gaziantep and these centers spread across 30 cities.
7 thousand 889 employees work in 328 operational centers. 11,000 488 projects were completed in design centers.
228 of the patents in these centers are pending and 503 are in the filing phase. 34 companies with foreign partners also operate in these centers.
