“The metal sector was prioritized for young employment”

Minister Vedat Işıkhan took part in the 2nd young workers' congress, which was organized by Türk Metal Union in a hotel.

Işıkhan said they had met with young workers who had the industrial power of Türkiye in a day when a meaning of meaning was loaded, as 19.

Işıkhan stated that the metal sector is the sector of resistance, reason, engineering and sweat as well as production. He said.

“The union rate of our employees is approximately 15 percent”

Around 195,000 jobs work in this sector and the sector delivers direct employment for around 2 million people and more than 2 million people, emphasized around 564,000 young people under the age of 30.

Işıkhan said that this number increases every year and said: “Our young people take part in the production, enter the workshop, work, work, forehead sweat. This painting makes us proud and hope of the future. We see it as an indicator,” he said.

Işıkhan said that the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would have increased the social state and gave his working life a new vision.

Işıkhan recalled that May 1st is an official holiday, and emphasized that trade union rights and freedoms are guaranteed and that revolutionary regulations were implemented in working life.

Işıkhan pointed out that the metal sector is one of the most affected sectors of green transformation and digitization.

“But every change in this transformation also opens up new gates for young people. From artificial intelligence to automation, productivity to energy efficiency, we need the dynamics of young people in every title. At this point, this sector with its national employment strategy was one of the strategic priorities of this sector.

We support the employment of young people under more qualified, safer and more sustainable conditions. As a Ministry of Labor and Social Security, we will continue to be with our young workers with the vision of the President of Turkey, to run with our unions and to continue crowning the sweat of the forehead on the journey of a large and mighty Turkey. “
