According to local sources, Israeli soldiers entered dozens of settlements in the West Bank and sealed off the entrances to some towns with military checkpoints and earthen walls.
It was noted that the raids covered many towns and villages in the southern West Bank cities of Hebron and Bethlehem, as well as Qalqilya, Selfit, Tulkerim, Tubas, Nablus, Jenin, Ramallah and Al-Bire in the north.
It was stated that the army had evacuated some houses in the areas it entered and converted them into “military headquarters”.
It was reported that Israeli soldiers raided Palestinian homes and arrested and interrogated dozens of people. However, no clear information was given about the number of those arrested.
Since Israel launched its attack on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, there has been an increase in arrests, raids and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
