In his statement on his social media account, SSB President Görgün emphasized that the defense and aerospace industries continue their steady increase in exports.
According to the data announced, defense and aerospace exports increased by 29.6 percent in June 2026 compared to the same month last year, reaching $802.8 million.
In the January-June period, covering the first half of the year, exports increased by 29.5 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 4 billion 665.7 million dollars.
“Our systems have proven themselves in practice”
Haluk Görgün pointed out that the effectiveness of the Turkish defense industry's on-site systems and the deepening ecosystem played a role in this success, saying:
We continue to build lasting collaborations on a global scale with our systems that are proven in the field and with our ecosystem that deepens every day. I would like to thank all of our companies, engineers, technicians and stakeholders who contributed to this success.
