Transport and Infrastructure Minister Uraloğlu stated in his written statement that the Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli high-speed train line, which is 201 kilometers long, will maintain the planned speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
Pointing out that the entire line will have a capacity for about 30 million passengers and 59 million tons of freight traffic per year, Uraloğlu stated that the 106-kilometer Bursa-Osmaneli section will directly connect Bursa to the Türkiye high-speed train network.
Uraloğlu said: “When the Bursa-Osmaneli high-speed train line is completed, a train departing from Bursa will be connected to the Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train line via Osmaneli. This will reduce the travel time on the Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul routes to 2 hours and 15 minutes.”
“We are nearing the end of the construction work”
Emphasizing that the excavation, tunneling and engineering works on the 106-kilometer route to Osmaneli, Yenişehir, Yenişehir Airport, Gürsu and Bursa have been completed, Uraloğlu said:
“We are nearing the end of the superstructure work. We aim to complete our work on the Osmaneli-Bursa route in the second half of this year. We aim to complete our work on the TEKNOSAB, Karacabey, Dağkadı and Kuşcenneti route from Bursa in 2028.”
