A ceremony was held at the ASELSAN Gölbaşı facilities for the first delivery of the early warning radar systems, the longest-range radar in the country that ASELSAN has developed at the local and national levels for the Turkish Armed Forces.
Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency's Defense Industry, emphasized in his speech at the ceremony that radar systems are an important element for warfare and border security, saying that they have been working in the radar field for about 30 years.
Explaining that they are working to make the country superior in new technologies, especially in the areas of aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, border surveillance, naval platforms, air defense systems, missile systems, search and surveillance, fire control, tracking and weapons detection, Görgün said: “The portable early warning radar has been delivered .” “The systems are a very strategic product. It is a special peace that this strategic product will be manufactured locally and added to the inventory,” he said.
Görgün pointed out that the entire product group of early warning radar systems produced by ASELSAN bore the name ALP, and stated that the radar supplied bore the name ALP 300-G. Görgün pointed out that this radar system can carry out almost 500 digital communications and emphasized that the radar can process the content of 81 DVDs per second.
Görgün pointed out that about 40 different radars were exported to about ten different countries, saying:
“There are many different radars manufactured in Italy, France and the USA that are used in other countries around the world. The ALP 300-G we delivered today is superior to all others in terms of resolution, range and accuracy. This radar has an active electronic scanning function and works when stationary. The ALP 300-G radar can receive more than 4,000 transmissions when a malfunction occurs in a module part. Receive the reflection without waiting for the completion of a period. In addition, the accuracy can be increased by sending a verification signal.
Pointing out that more than 435,000 lines of code are used in the radar, Görgün said: “We have almost 20 patents in the development of this radar. Our radar can also be installed in 30 minutes. It ensures uninterrupted communication by sending a radio link “remote access.” said.
Görgün emphasized that 436 companies participated in the radar project and said: “The target group of the radar is very broad and resistant to electronic warfare. One of the advantages is that with our technological expertise we can provide technological support very quickly when needed.” A very rapid response will be possible when developing the next generation,” he said.
“With ALP 300-G we have reached an important stage in our family of early warning and anti-aircraft radars.”
Ahmet Akyol, General Manager of ASELSAN, pointed out that ASELSAN has achieved many important achievements in the field of radar in recent years, saying:
“It has gained design and production capabilities across all frequency bands. We have completed our marine platform radar family with Cenk and Akrep, which will join the inventory in 2023. We have passed through an important phase in our early warning and air defense radar family with the ALP 300-G and the low-altitude radar, which will also be added to the inventory this year.” “We have become one of the very few countries with our AESA Nose Radar Murad was able to develop an air platform radar, which put us at the top of the radar league.”
Emphasizing that as ASELSAN, they are able to cover all of Turkey's basic needs in the field of radar nationwide, Akyol stated that they are preparing for the technologies of the future and that the research and development studies with TOBB University and Technical University of Gebze will continue to develop quantum radar.
Akyol pointed out that the design and production of GAN chips and all subcomponents used in AESA radars were carried out at ASELSAN, saying that they nationalized the gallium nitrate transistors used in these chips in the Aselsan Bilkent MikroNano company, which is associated with the Bilkent University was founded.
Akyol stated that their goal is to make ASELSAN one of the top 30 defense industrial companies in the world in 2030, adding that in pursuit of this goal, they have adopted the vision of manufacturing the best products in their field, adopting breakthrough technologies develop and export-oriented growth.
