The economic confidence index rose in May

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the economic confidence index data for May.

Accordingly, the index, which was 96.4 in April, rose by 0.8 percent to 97.2 in May.

The consumer confidence index rose 0.3 percent monthly in May, reaching 85.8.

During the same period, the real industry confidence index was 101, an increase of 2.4 percent.

The service sector confidence index fell 0.6 percent to 109.

The retail sector confidence index rose 0.8 percent to 112.5 and the construction sector confidence index fell 1.7 percent to 82.1.
