The Health Ministry shared the latest data on the number of deaths and injuries in Israel's attacks since March 2.
Accordingly, the number of people who lost their lives in Israeli attacks during this period rose to 3,000,912, and 11,873 people were injured.
In its statement yesterday, the Health Ministry reported that 3,884 people have died in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2.
While 133 healthcare workers lost their lives, 402 healthcare workers were injured.
Despite the ceasefire and agreement, Israeli attacks continued
On the other hand, despite the agreement signed between the US and Iran, the Israeli army carried out attacks in the south of Lebanon.
According to the official Lebanese agency NNA, the Israeli army carried out an artillery strike around Ali Tahir Tepe, near the town of Kefertebnit in Nabatiye province.
During the day, the Israeli army carried out strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles on the southern cities of Beit Yahun, Zibdin and Kefertebnit.
The agreement reached between Iran and the US
Iran and the United States announced that they had reached a 14-article agreement on June 14 as part of the Pakistan-brokered negotiation process, which stipulated that the war should end and the problems between the parties should be resolved through negotiations.
The “Memorandum of Understanding,” also known as the Islamabad Memorandum, was digitally signed overnight by Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump.
The agreement includes, among other things, ending the war including Lebanon, opening the Strait of Hormuz and lifting the naval blockade imposed by the United States against Iran.
Israel's attacks on Lebanon and the ceasefire
The Israeli army launched heavy airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2, occupying many cities in the south of the country.
The Lebanese government announced that the number of displaced people in the country exceeded one million during this period.
In his April 24 statement, US President Donald Trump announced that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on April 17, has been extended for another three weeks.
As a result of the third round of US-mediated talks between Lebanon and Israel on May 14 and 15, it was decided to extend the ceasefire by 45 days from May 17.
After the fourth round of talks in Washington, the US State Department announced on June 3 that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a “comprehensive ceasefire” on the condition that Hezbollah completely cease its attacks and withdraw all its elements from the south of the Litani River. Hezbollah announced that it rejected the conditional ceasefire.
But despite the announced ceasefire agreements, the Israeli army continues its attacks.
