While the BIST 100 index increased by 48.86 points compared to the previous close, the total transaction volume was 130.8 billion lira.
The banking index rose by 0.64 percent and the holding index rose by 0.99 percent.
Among the industry indices, the Securities Investment Trust gained the most with 3.81 percent, while Stone Soil lost the most with 1.13 percent.
Global markets are on a mixed note with concerns over hawkish statements that could come from Fed officials, although interest rate cut expectations remain for the US Federal Reserve (Fed). With these developments, the BIST 100 index ended the day on a positive note, parallel to the European stock markets.
Stating that tomorrow the industrial production data will be followed in the country and that an intensive data agenda will be followed abroad, in particular the Fed's interest rate decision in the United States, the producer price index (PPI) in Japan, inflation and the PPI in China, as well as the statements of the main central bank governors, analysts stated that 11,350 and 11,450 points in the BIST 100 index technically represent resistance, while 11,100 and 11,000 points is support.
