Minister Işıkhan shared a video about Consultant Information System (DABİS) on his NSosyal account.
In his contribution, Işıkhan stated that young people and their parents are on their side with the Advisor Information System for a correct and planned preference period, and explained that he wanted to share an important development that affects a total of 3.5 million young people, including about 1 million who enter the LGS and about 2.5 million who enter the YKS.
Emphasizing that the preferences for secondary schools and universities made based on the results of the High School Entrance Examination (LGS) and the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) are one of the most important decisions that shape the future, Işıkhan said:
“In this process, we continue our work with determination to support you in making the right decisions in your educational and career path. In this context, we have now opened the DABİS service, which was previously only provided through our İŞKUR employment and career counselors and career counselors from the Ministry of National Education, to all our students and parents through our İŞKUR Mobile application.
“We offer this application with valuable data, such as how long it takes you to find a job at DABİS in the professional specialty or university department you prefer, what is the salary you can receive, how many different jobs you will work in after graduating, how many of the graduates are employed, how many of them are entrepreneurs, how long on average you will continue this initiative if you become an entrepreneur, how many of the graduates continue the academy, with 14 indicators for those who apply for one to choose vocational high school section and 15 indicators for those who choose a university department.
Minister Işıkhan also emphasized that students can use these indicators to compare two departments they prefer or the same or different faculties of universities.
Stating that young people and their parents who want to receive professional assistance, especially during the selection process, in addition to these services, Işıkhan can visit İŞKUR's provincial directorates and service centers throughout Turkey and receive preference counseling services from labor and career counselors, and shared the following:
“We will continue to support our young people at every step that will help them assess their potential as accurately as possible. Dear young people, dear parents, I invite you to download İŞKUR Mobile, use the DABİS application, the most comprehensive application in this field, and shape your preferences with the help of data and consultant support.”
