TÜBİTAK called for submissions of projects under the European coordinated CHIST-ERA IV ERA-NET research program designed to address long-term challenges in information and communication technologies.
In this context, groundbreaking projects for new and developing technologies are supported through international collaborations. Applying for the program takes place in a single step. Project managers must work in universities/research institutes and in public or private sector organizations.
Consortia are formed through partnerships with three independent institutions in at least three countries: Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
The call supports various projects, in particular multidimensional geoinformation systems and digital transformation ecosystems.
The project duration is a maximum of 36 months
The program will include higher education institutions, training and research hospitals, public institutions and organizations covered by the Higher Education Law, as well as Turkey-based corporations that add value at the corporate level regardless of industry and size and carry out a business registration certificate is supported.

The contribution required by TÜBİTAK within the scope of a project, excluding institutional shares and project incentive bonus, is 190,000 euros per project, 100,000 euros per supporting institution for higher education institutions, training and research hospitals, public institutions and organizations and 190,000 euros per project thousand euros for private organizations. One thousand euros may not be exceeded.
Higher education institutions, training and research hospitals as well as public institutions and organizations receive 100 percent funding, large private organizations 60 percent and SMEs 75 percent based on the approved budgets.
Under the tender, a maximum of 116,000 lira can be requested for travel to attend domestic/international scientific meetings and a maximum of 195,000 lira for travel for activities such as study visits and networking between project partners, for a total maximum of 311,000 lira per executive organization. .
The application deadline is April 10th
The international consortium's project application must be submitted electronically by the international project coordinator on the CHIST-ERA website (http://www.chistera.eu/) by April 10th.
Selected projects start in December.
With this call and its work, Turkey aims to make a name for itself among the leading countries in the technology sector, which is evolving and constantly innovating around the world.
For this purpose, although routes with plans and strategies are established within the Ministry of Industry and Technology, on the other hand, contributions are made to institutions and organizations operating in this area through supports and incentives.
To achieve a breakthrough in these areas, Turkey recently opened the “Terminal Istanbul”, which will be the centerpiece of the technology initiatives.
