Russia: The Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire process 6,558 times

The ministry's statement recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a ceasefire in Ukraine on the occasion of Orthodox Easter from April 11 at 4:00 p.m. local time until the end of April 12.

The statement said that the Russian army had observed the ceasefire and included the following statements:

“Despite the ceasefire, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to launch attacks with unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery against the positions of our troops and civilian elements in the Belgorod and Kursk regions on the border. A total of 6,558 ceasefire violations were recorded. In general, the intensity of enemy attacks decreased during the day along the entire front line.”

Last week, Putin decided to declare a ceasefire in Ukraine from 4 p.m. local time until the end of April 12 on the occasion of Orthodox Easter from April 11th.

While the Russian army suspended its military actions on all fronts in Ukraine, Kiev mutually decided to act in accordance with the ceasefire.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously called on Russia to call for a ceasefire on the occasion of Easter.
