In his speech at the United Russia party congress in the capital Moscow, Putin said that Russia was under strong pressure from the “Western elites”.

Referring to the Ukraine war, Putin said: “The Kiev regime is retreating along the entire line of contact and has therefore openly turned to acts of terrorism. What else can one call the deliberate attacks on civilians and civilian facilities, as well as the open use of people to carry out sabotage and terrorist attacks in our country?” he said.
Pointing out that Russia is in a difficult period, Putin said: “We are in a difficult period, but this process has taught us a lot and made us feel the essence of the concept of 'Russian citizen'.” he said.
Putin stated that the protection of traditional values will be one of the themes of the next election campaign: “The foundation on traditional values is a solid intellectual foundation that unites Russian society.” gave his assessment.
Stating that the United Russia party is in direct contact with units of the Russian army, defense industry institutions and volunteer movements, Putin said that the necessary conditions are being created for those who took part in the war to continue to serve the country in the political, economic, public and local government spheres.
Putin explained that they had changed some plans according to current conditions and said:
“Of course, we are reviewing some of our plans due to the current situation. However, all development programs of strategic importance will be fully implemented.”
