Proof of vocational training became mandatory in 40 other professions

The “Communiqué on Professions Requiring a Professional Qualification Certificate from a Professional Qualification Institution” has come into force following publication in today's edition of the Official Journal.

Accordingly, the 40 professions for which a vocational training certificate is mandatory are:

“Waste separator, waste coordinator, battery electric vehicle maintenance technician (level 4), battery electric vehicle maintenance technician (level 5), concrete pump operator, individual and commercial air conditioning installation and service personnel, individual and commercial air conditioning installer, biogas plant personnel, steam boiler operator, foundry, excavator operator, electric vehicle assembly personnel (level 3), electric vehicle assembly personnel (level 4), assembly worker for electromechanical equipment (level 3), electromechanical equipment assembly workers (level 4), fluorinated greenhouse gas equipment technical personnel, photovoltaic power system personnel (level 4), photovoltaic power system personnel (level 5), solar thermal system personnel (level 4), solar thermal system personnel (level 5), hybrid vehicle maintenance technicians (level 4), Hybrid vehicle maintenance technicians (level 5), repair and service personnel for heating system maintenance, construction machinery maintenance and repair personnel, industrial electricians, hot oil boiler operators, spade cutters, drilling bench workers (level 3), drilling bench workers (level 4), personnel in the production of marble natural stones, quarry workers in marble natural stones, mobile crane operators, supervisor (mine), personnel of Wind turbines (level 4), wind turbine personnel (level 5), hot water boiler operators, personnel for the maintenance, repair and maintenance of sanitary facilities, rescuers (mine), collectors of hazardous waste, drivers for the transportation of hazardous materials.”

“Professions with a focus on green and digital transformation are also on the list.”

Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labor and Social Security, made the following statements regarding the report in his post on his NSosyal account:

“We have taken a further important step towards strengthening the qualified workforce and raising standards in working life. We have included critical areas in relation to occupational safety and health protection as well as professions geared towards the green and digital transition into the scope of the professional competency requirement. With this regulation, the number of professions requiring certification has increased from 204 to 244 and 40 new professions have been added.”
