According to Dawn newspaper, Prime Minister Sharif addressed the nation in his address to the Iran negotiations and current fuel prices in the country.
Sharif described the planned talks between Iran and the US as a “historic opportunity” and said there should be negotiations instead of war.
Sharif said: “Tomorrow the leaders of both countries (US and Iran) will be in Islamabad to negotiate on our invitation. Pakistan will do its best to make the talks successful, which is a difficult task. The outcome is in the hands of Allah.” he said.
Sharif thanked Iran and Pakistan for agreeing to talks and a two-week ceasefire to establish peace and said: “Pakistan hosting these talks is a proud moment not only for Pakistan but for the entire Muslim world.” shared his opinion.
Noting that the parties will continue or not continue these talks after the talks held in Islamabad, Sharif said: “This phase of the talks is a crucial moment in the search for a lasting ceasefire.” he said.
Fuel prices
Regarding fuel prices in the country, Şerif pointed out that the liter price of diesel will be cheaper by 135 rupees (0.48 US dollars), while gasoline will be sold 12 rupees (0.04 US dollars) cheaper.
Sharif also stressed that the government's initiatives on fuel prices will continue.
