Speaking at the 6th DEİK Commercial Diplomacy Awards Ceremony at a hotel in Bakırköy, Minister Işıkhan congratulated the businessmen who made Turkey proud in foreign trade and deserved the award.

Thanks to the stability and growth-oriented policies of the AK Party governments, our country has made significant progress not only in economic data but also in social justice and welfare. To date, our workforce has increased by 925,000 people in the last year, reaching 54.2 percent. Our employment increased by 986,000 people over the same period, reaching 32 million 748,000 people. “Our unemployment rate, one of the most important indicators, is 8.6 percent and has remained in the single digits for 19 months.”

Işıkhan also stated that these data, which are fully in line with the objectives of the medium-term program, are a concrete reflection of the steps taken for Turkey's economic stability.
Emphasizing that they are committed to implementing measures that add value to the work of every citizen in line with the vision of the “Turkey Century”, Işıkhan said: “Increasing labor force participation, keeping unemployment in single digits and our youth who Promoting women and bringing disadvantaged groups into employment are our primary goals.
