Occupied Israel damaged more than three thousand trees in one week

The statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture said that attacks by the genocidal Israeli army and the Israeli invaders who usurped Palestinian land between December 11 and 18 increased significantly, leading to major destruction in the agricultural sector.

The statement noted that field teams found that the cities of Ramallah, Al-Bire and Nablus were the most affected by the attacks and that most of the trees damaged were olive trees.

Attacks during the period in question included, among other things, the destruction of agricultural land, the uprooting of trees, the damage to irrigation networks hundreds of meters long, the killing or theft of sheep, the destruction of animal feed and the destruction of poultry farms.

Occupying Israel confiscated 2,800 acres of land belonging to Palestinians last year.

According to the statement, the total financial damage caused by the attacks was said to be more than $2.5 million.

In its statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture said: “By directly targeting the olive tree, which is the symbol of Palestinian identity and resistance, Israel is continuing its policy of confiscating land, issuing demolition orders and forcing farmers to uproot their trees with their own hands, with the aim of causing psychological and moral damage.” Statements were recorded.

A report previously released by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)-affiliated Council to Combat the Separation Wall and Jewish Settlements said that in November last year, the Israeli occupying power confiscated 2,800 decades of Palestinian land with the decisions “confiscation, expropriation and change of state borders.”

According to the Palestinian Authority, killer Israel has issued 53 military occupation orders since the beginning of 2025 to gain control of Palestinian land.

This indicates a significant increase in military-related seizures.

Since the attacks on Gaza began, more than 1,100 Palestinians have lost their lives, around 11,000 people have been injured and more than 21,000 people have been arrested in attacks by the genocidal Israeli army and the Israelis usurping Palestinian lands in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

More than 70,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, were killed, more than 171,000 people were injured and widespread destruction occurred in the attacks by the murderer Israel on the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations estimates the cost of rebuilding Gaza at around $70 billion.
