Kirkuk Airport press spokesman Herdi Samed said that night flights had started at the airport.
Samed explained that this development was realized as part of improving the port's service quality and improving its performance, and that the three night flights per week will be Kirkuk-Istanbul.
Samed pointed out that the first night flight is the Kirkuk-Istanbul flight, pointing out that the number of flights in the port has increased with this development.
The aim is to increase the number of daily flights and offer passengers more flexible travel options at any time of the day, explained Samed.
Kirkuk Airport was put into operation on October 16, 2022 with the participation of then Iraqi Transport Minister Nasser Hussein and the first international flights to Türkiye took off in the same month.
