Minister Işıkhan: With the first step in the work program, the wages of 750,000 young people will be covered by the state

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, University of Pamukkale Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz took part in the “Working Life Encounters in the Turkish Century” program, which was attended by businessmen at the Congress and Cultural Center.

Işıkhan said here that Denizli, which reaches the whole world with its production quality, experience and deep-rooted history in agriculture, industry and many other fields, especially tourism and textile, continues to make us proud.

Işıkhan stated that as long as they maintain their determination and perseverance in pursuing their goal of strengthening Türkiye, they will continue to achieve positive results in all areas:

“We should not forget that a fully independent, strong economy and a self-sufficient Turkey also mean a fairer, more peaceful world. Because even today, with its international responsibility and its historical and cultural mission, in an environment of global uncertainty, Turkey is the lifeline not only of its region, but of the world. Türkiye is stronger internally and externally, especially in business: “I would like to emphasize that we do not have the luxury of retreating into our shell.”

Işıkhan emphasized that they believe in Denizli's productive power and potential and that they believe that with the investments they make in every sector of the city that controls business life, from economy to tourism, from agriculture to industry, Denizli will reach the position it deserves.

“We will encourage inexperienced young people to take up employment and gain experience.”

Stating that one of the biggest challenges for young people in today's world is the transition from education to working life, Işıkhan said, “Unfortunately, many of our young people have difficulty finding a job after leaving school and remain in the background due to a lack of experience in life stronger.” he said.

Stating that the “Youth Production Age (POWER) Program” that they initiated under the leadership of İŞKUR aims to enable young people to participate earlier, more equipped and stronger in working life, Işıkhan continued as follows:

“With this program we offer our young people internship opportunities, encourage them to pursue a profession, bring our young people who are neither in training nor in employment into working life and continue to support their first professional experiences. With the Internship Support program we ensure that 800,000 young people complete an internship in 3 years. With the My Future is in the Vocational program we will encourage vocational school graduates to work in their own professions. With the NEET Workforce Adaptation Program we will do this.” 450,000 young people who are neither in training nor in employment are being taken into working life in collaboration with public institutions. 3 “We pay the full wages of 750,000 young people per year for 6 months or half of their wages for 18 months as İŞKUR.” In this way, we offer young people who have difficulty getting their first professional experience due to a lack of experience the opportunity to gain experience. We will particularly encourage our employers who need experience in recruitment to hire inexperienced young people and gain experience.”

Işıkhan added that with the İŞKUR youth program launched last year, university students can continue to get used to professional life and gain experience with a part-time model.
