Minister Bolat will pay an official visit to Pristina.
As part of his program, Bolat will meet with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Deputy Prime Minister Fikrim Damka and Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation Mimoza Kusari-Lila.
The visit is expected to contribute to the further development of close friendly relations and multi-dimensional cooperation between the two countries.
At the meetings that Minister Bolat will hold as part of the visit, it is planned to discuss the current course of bilateral relations, increase trade volumes, improve the investment environment and strengthen cooperation between the private sector.
Bolat, who is expected to visit the headquarters of the NATO-led multinational peacekeeping force Kosovo Force (KFOR), is expected to meet with KFOR commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş there.
During the meeting, it is planned to discuss maintaining peace and stability in the region, cooperation in the field of security and Türkiye's contributions to international missions.
Minister Bolat is expected to meet with compatriots of Kosovo at the reception, which will be held as part of the National Day of Kosovar Turks.
Bilateral trade reached almost $1 billion
On the other hand, it is planned to discuss the opportunities arising within the framework of the European Union's “Western Balkans Growth Plan”, as well as support in the area of procurement in line with the infrastructure and superstructural needs of Kosovo, which will host the Mediterranean Games in 2030.
While the trade volume between the two countries, which gained momentum due to the free trade agreement, approached $1 billion last year, Turkish contractors have carried out projects worth $1.5 billion here.
