According to the statement from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar met with Prevot and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
Turkish Ambassador to Brussels Görkem Barış Tantekin and Belgian Ambassador to Ankara Hendrik Van de Velde also took part in the meeting.
Minister Bayraktar, in his post on this topic on his NSosyal account, stated that during the meeting, assessments were made on Europe's energy supply security, new needs due to global disruptions in the energy transformation process and cooperation topics that can be developed between Turkey and Belgium.
Bayraktar noted that they then welcomed representatives of leading Belgian companies to the ministry, presented them with Türkiye's energy vision and made the following assessments:
“We stated that we have designed our energy basket with a multi-dimensional understanding that exists in all areas, from renewable resources to natural gas, from nuclear energy to domestic hydrocarbon production. We are committed to developing international cooperation in the energy field on a more progressive basis, with an understanding that strengthens security of supply, is technology-oriented and open to partnerships that create long-term value. We attach importance to increasing the mutual dialogue between the two countries with more concrete cooperation topics in the coming period deepen.”
