Kuwait: Some of our soldiers were injured in Iran's attacks

Kuwaiti Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Saud al-Atvan yesterday drew attention to Iran's attacks on Kuwait in his statement on the army's US-based X Company's social media platform account.

Atvan explained that they intervened with air defense systems against ballistic missiles and UAVs detected in Kuwaiti airspace in the morning:

“As part of Iran's hostile attacks, vital facilities and camps of the Kuwaiti army were attacked with drones. Some deployed soldiers from the land forces were injured in these attacks.”

Atvan stressed that Iran is also targeting some vital civilian facilities, explaining that power plants and water treatment plants are among the facilities subject to Iranian attacks.

Atvan pointed out that a fire broke out in some of the power plants and facilities in question, and explained that during the operation with air defense systems against missiles and UAVs coming from Iran, falling shrapnel caused material damage in some areas.

Kuwait Fire Department spokesman Brigadier General Muhammad al-Garib announced that the fires that broke out after two different points in the south of the country were attacked in the Iranian attack have been brought under control.
