The Kuwait Petroleum Company's written statement said that an extremely important facility in the oil sector was subjected to repeated attacks by Iran in the morning hours.
The statement said people were injured and the facility was severely damaged as a result of the attacks. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment and the facility was evacuated.
The statement said efforts would continue to be made, in coordination with relevant state institutions, to eliminate the impact of the attack and bring the situation under control.
Firefighters and a facility employee were injured while responding to fires that broke out this morning at two points in Kuwait attacked by Iran.
