Israeli press: Netanyahu urged his ministers not to criticize Trump

Messages from Israeli news site i24NEWS, which relied on unnamed senior Israeli officials, said Netanyahu had urged his ministers not to criticize Trump personally.

The news claimed that the Trump administration and the negotiating team misunderstood the ideology that motivates Iran and Hezbollah and that Trump did not understand the nature of the Iranian regime and Hezbollah because he does not speak the Shiite language.

It noted that Israel is concerned that Iran will use a possible deal with the United States to rebuild its economy and strengthen its military capabilities in return for limited concessions on its nuclear program and support for its allies in the region.

After the agreement between the USA and Iran, Israeli politicians' dissatisfaction with Trump is growing. Criticism on this issue is not limited to Trump, but also extends to US Vice President JD Vance, who has made harsh statements against Tel Aviv.

In an interview with the US news portal Axios on June 19, Trump said about his country's relations with Israel: “Without Donald Trump, Israel would have been destroyed.” he said.

Vance also sharply criticized Israeli government officials who responded to the US-Iran deal, stating that “two-thirds of the weapons that protect Israel are made in the US and with American taxpayers' money.”
