Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır responded to the written parliamentary question of İyi Party Istanbul MP Mehmet Satuk Buğra Kavuncu on the impact of artificial intelligence on employment in Turkey.
Stating that the studies in the field of artificial intelligence will continue with priority and intensity, Kacır recalled that the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (2021-2025), which was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Presidential Office for Digital Transformation was created, containing contributions from all relevant stakeholders, came into force after publication in the Official Journal.
Noting that two of the six priorities of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy include the inclusion of new professions in employment, the transformation of professions and the employment gap that may arise, Kacır stated that the studies will continue as nine goals.
Kacır said that all ministries continue to incorporate current measures and policies into their strategies and roadmaps, taking into account the impact that artificial intelligence has brought and will bring.
Deneyap Türkiye Project
Kacır pointed out that there is an action plan for the impact of artificial intelligence and other related factors on employment in the strategy document “National Youth Employment” of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the institution in charge of employment transformation, and made the following Testify:
“In this regard, our ministry, together with our stakeholders, has developed programs such as the 'Sector on Campus Programme', the 'Artificial Intelligence Specialist Training Programme', the 'Digital Transformation Support Programme' and the 'Digital Transformation Specialist Training Programme', which enable programs have been developed, including the “Sector on Campus Program” under the auspices of the National Technology Academy and the “Artificial Intelligence Specialization Training Program”. is conducted for university and postgraduate students to train and develop the skilled human resources needed in line with the National Technology Move studies. The digital transformation support program is conducted for university and doctoral students. “The goal is to increase the competence of the economy.” Employees in digital technologies, especially artificial intelligence. In addition to these programs, the “Deneyap Turkey” project, which promotes learning skills of the new generation, was launched under the coordination of our ministry.”
Minister Kacır said that the training projects of the Ministry of Finance and Finance and the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK) will continue successfully to create the necessary jobs and realize career changes in information technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Kacır said: “The Turkish Employment Agency continues to work to identify the need for new skills that arise as artificial intelligence transforms professions and business processes and creates an acceleration program to achieve this,” Kacır said.
