According to the semi-official Fars news agency, army spokesman Brigadier General Ekreminiya said that the US and Israel had not achieved their goals in the war against Iran.
Ekreminiya used the following statements:
“We can say with certainty that the other side did not achieve its goals in the war and was in fact defeated. The purpose of continuing the war is to bring the enemy to a point where he feels real regret. This may be perceived by some as an emotional approach, but is actually based entirely on strategic rationality.”
“Bringing the enemy to this point is a must to prevent a repeat of the war in the future, because if this goal is achieved, the level of deterrence will increase to such an extent that the enemy will never dare to act against the country again,” the army spokesman said.
