The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman commented on a possible agreement on the Strait of Hormuz.
The spokesman said management of the strait was the responsibility of coastal states and rejected claims that fees were charged for crossings. The spokesman noted that the services to be provided may involve certain costs, but said that this should not be considered a “toll fee”.
Looking at the negotiations with the US, the Iranian official noted that a framework has been reached on many issues, but this does not mean that the agreement is close.
The spokesman also said that ending conflict on all fronts, including Lebanon, was also part of a possible agreement.
