Travel ban for security reasons
The ministry statement said: “National and club teams are prohibited from traveling to countries considered enemies and cannot guarantee the safety of Iranian athletes and delegation members.” The statement has been attached.
It was emphasized that the decision was taken in line with the current tensions and security risks in the region.
Neutral field request
The Sports Ministry also asked the football association and clubs to contact the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
In this context, instructions were given to relocate the playing fields of the planned competitions to other locations and to provide the necessary information for the games to be held in neutral areas.
