The April inflation figures, which represent the fourth inflation data of the year, will be announced on Monday, May 4, by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The change in CPI in March was 1.94 percent compared to the previous month, 10.04 percent compared to December last year, 30.87 percent compared to the same month last year and 32.82 percent compared to the 12-month average.
Inflation expectations survey completed
The expectations survey on April inflation data announced by the Turkish Statistical Office on Monday was completed with the participation of 29 economists.
The average monthly inflation expectation of the economists who took part in the survey in April was 3.19 percent. Economists' inflation expectations for April were between 2.50 percent and 3.60 percent.
According to economists' average inflation expectations for April (3.19 percent), the annual inflation rate, which was 30.87 percent in March, is expected to rise to 31.11 percent in April.
On the other hand, economists' average inflation expectations for the end of 2026 were 28.16 percent in April.
