“Since November 28, we have recorded a significant increase in calls from Porsche owners to the company's service center. Our experts concluded that the problem was caused by blocking the factory alarm system via satellite,” Trushkova said. he said.
Trushkova pointed out that currently any model can be blocked for all models and types of internal combustion engines, explaining that the blocking can now be overcome by resetting and dismantling the factory alarm system.
Trushkova said: “Similar situations are also experienced by Mercedes-Benz owners, but these are isolated cases. The vehicles do not become 'bricks' (unusable). Is the reason for these blockages known? Experts are currently investigating this issue, there is a possibility that this happened intentionally.” he said.
According to the Avto.ru magazine, the problem occurs especially in Porsche models manufactured before 2020. Many vehicles, especially the Cayenne, Macan and Panamera, experienced starting problems.
The Telegram channel Shot announced that hundreds of Porsche brand vehicles had become unroadworthy in Russia and vehicle owners were negatively affected by the situation.
