How was the US-Iran agreement reflected on the streets of Tehran?

Iranians standing with microphones on the streets of Tehran said that a fair deal would benefit the region and the world and that one should not forget that the US had already attacked twice during the negotiations and that Iran should act based on that experience.

Mehdi Isfahan, a resident of Tehran, stated that the final agreement with the US will be positive for both the Iranian people and the countries in the region, saying: “In my opinion, any fair agreement will be very good and very positive. However, there is a condition for this. The US should not break its promises again. Because it has been shown many times that it is not easy to trust them. Unfortunately, whenever they were trusted, they fell under the influence of extremists in other countries and kept their promises not one.” promises.” he said.

Isfahan stated that his country has no problems with the Gulf states and that he considers the Muslim countries concerned to be his brothers because of his faith: “We cannot remain indifferent when injustice is done to an Islamic country. We are Muslims and Islam requires us to stand with any Muslim country that is attacked.” he said.

“We are currently in a very good position within the international community.”

Housewife Mehdia Taqi Abadi, on the other hand, stressed that they acted in accordance with the instructions of Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei, saying: “Nothing good can happen in the shadow of war. If an agreement is reached, inflation will of course fall, the dollar exchange rate will fall and people will have some peace.” gave his assessment.

Mohammad Ashrafi, a resident of Tehran, argued that Iran would retain its power with this deal and a possible deal after it, saying: “We are now in a very good position within the international community. Of course, there was some pressure on Iran. Some things became difficult, but thanks to people's follow-up and developments on the streets, everything went well.” he said.

Expressing that war is neither for themselves nor for the world, Eşrefi said that they do not seek war and that the best way under the current conditions is to advance negotiations and calm the situation.

“However, for the agreement and peace process to be successful, the parties must abide by it.”

Activist Sadra Nuri also stated that the Iranian people have always been a peaceful people and have been openly committed to cooperation with the countries of the world, adding: “However, in order for the agreement and the peace process to be successful, the parties must abide by it. We hope that our country's interests will be protected in this peace process.” he said.

Noting that Iranian officials have always strived for peace and reconciliation, attacks on their country still occur, Nuri continued:

“The Iranian people have shown that they can defend their country to the best of their ability when necessary. At the same time, they can cooperate with the entire world in an environment of peace and unity. The world can benefit from Iran's cultural accumulation and production. Iran, its neighbors and all countries can mutually benefit from this cooperation in economic, cultural and social areas.”

We are optimistic about this peace. However, at the same time, the Iranian people are prepared for any developments and will not back down from their country's interests in any way. I think that Iranian negotiators are acting harmoniously, trying to meet the people's demands and achieve peace. On the other hand, we also trust our country's armed forces. They also delivered an extremely successful performance. In my opinion, both the negotiators and our armed forces defending Iran constitute two solid and powerful arms of Iran. “I believe that they will provide both the Iranian people and the people of the region with a better life and prosperity in the future.”

Stating that they live in peace with neighboring countries and that many ethnic elements coexist in Iran, Nuri said: “We must have good relations with our neighbors in all respects. These relations and an environment of peace can help the entire region achieve a better position in the world.” gave his assessment.

Concern that the US will not fulfill its obligations

Muhammed Haydari, a trader in Tehran, also argued that his country becomes stronger after every major event and that his country will continue on its own path no matter the circumstances.

Recalling that the US has often reneged on its promises in the past, Haydari said: “They have withdrawn from the nuclear agreement,” he said.
