Historical record of THY in May

THY's statement released the company's passenger and freight traffic data for May.

THY, which increased its capacity by 2.5 percent this year compared to 2025 based on available seat kilometers, carried 7.9 million passengers last month and recorded the highest May occupancy in its history with a load factor of 84 percent.

According to the figures announced, international occupancy was 84 percent and domestic occupancy was 84.4 percent.

While the total number of seat kilometers on offer was 22.6 billion in May last year, it increased by 2.5 percent and reached 23.2 billion in the same month this year. The volume of freight and mail transported increased by 8.6 percent last month compared to 2025, reaching 203.1 thousand tons.

Traffic results for the period January-May

In the THY period January-May 2026, the number of passengers carried increased by 7.3 percent to 36.4 million compared to the same period last year.

While overall passenger occupancy was 83.6 percent during the same period, international passenger occupancy was 83.5 percent and domestic passenger occupancy was 84.3 percent.

While the total number of seat kilometers offered was 105.3 billion in the period January-May 2025, it rose by 6.5 percent to 112.1 billion this year.

During the period mentioned, the total volume of freight and mail transported was 840.7 thousand tons in 2025 and increased by 13.5 percent to 954.6 thousand tons in 2026.

The number of aircraft in THY's fleet was 542 at the end of May.
