In its statement yesterday, the Health Ministry reported that 2,679 people have died in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2.
Israel's attacks on Lebanon and the ceasefire
The Israeli army launched heavy airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2, occupying many cities in the south of the country.
The Lebanese government also announced that the number of displaced people in the country exceeded one million during this period.
US President Donald Trump announced that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on April 17, has been extended for another three weeks.
Despite the ceasefire, Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon continue and Hezbollah continues to respond.
