“Full throttle” on the export of tractor units – breaking news

According to Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association, the Turkish automotive industry exported 9 billion 895 million 175 thousand dollars in the January-March period.

Exports of tow trucks, one of the subgroups of the automotive industry, increased by 26 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reaching 469 million 709 thousand dollars from 372 million 516 thousand dollars.

Truck exports to Germany, which ranks first, exceeded $80 million

Industry representatives carried out the most exports to Germany from 43 countries in the first 3 months. Exports to this country increased by 15.4 percent in the January-March period compared to the same months of 2025, from 71 million 14 thousand dollars to 81 million 953 thousand dollars.

Exports to the United Kingdom, which ranks second in exports of tractor units, fell by 14.5 percent in the January-March period, from $68 million 111 thousand to $58 million 226 thousand.

52 million 231 thousand dollars of tractors were exported to Slovenia, which took third place with an increase of 5.1 percent, and 46 million 981 thousand dollars of tractors were exported to Belgium, which took fourth place with a decrease of 19 percent.

Truck exports to Poland, which amounted to 9 million 820 thousand dollars in the first three months of last year, reached 45 million 353 thousand dollars in the same period this year, an increase of 362 percent.

233 percent increase for Italy

Exports of tow trucks to France, which ranks sixth, increased by 89 percent from 23 million 439 thousand dollars to 44 million 212 thousand dollars.

Exports to Italy, which recorded an increase of 234 percent, reached 10 million 933 thousand dollars in the first three months of last year and reached 36 million 450 thousand dollars this year.

In terms of tractor exports in the period January-March compared to the same period in 2025, Spain is in 8th place with 25 million 887 thousand dollars, Denmark is in 9th place with 16 million 610 thousand dollars and the Netherlands is in 10th place with 11 million 568 thousand dollars.

During the same period of this year, tractors worth 6 million 788 thousand dollars were sold to Ireland, where there were no exports in this sector in January and March last year, 2 million 283 thousand dollars to New Zealand and 1 million 273 thousand dollars to Greece.
